  is this something they've asked them to do?

  cart displays in front of their homes?

  my mom is only in her mid 60s so i'm quite sure this is not an issue of mental illness.. the only illness she's suffering from is boredom since she's refused to work for years now.

  Jehovah Witness vs Jehovah's Witness

  being brought up as a jehovah's witness means you are so used to the term that you rarely stop to think about it.. one thing i've noticed is that people unfamiliar with the religion will say "jehovah witness" (no 's) instead which i always found a bit grating.. but watching the us election, something struck me.

  people are often referred to as "trump supporters", not "trump's supporters" and so on.

  thinking about other things, people would say they were "united fan's", not "united's fans" and so on.. it seems weird that a group would refer to themselves as though it was someone else talking about them (in the 3rd person, if i have that right).. what do you think?

  I forget the name of the comedian in the UK but I remember the line "someone came to my door and said they were a Jehovah Witness, I said I didn't even know there'd been an accident".

  Why it's a waste of time talking to JW's

  i believe it to be a waste of time talking to, reasoning with, jw's if you expect any kind of quick result.. many of us when we first wake up think that 'coz ttatt is blindingly obvious to us, it will soon get through to our jw loved ones.. this simply isn't so for a couple of important reasons.

  the first is that, if someone believes something is true, or the truth, to them it really is, without doubt, true.

  so whatever you say must be wrong somehow.. the second problem is that jw's simply do not have to use, or pay any attention to facts and logic.

  the iconic steam engine the flying scotsman has been restored and is back on tour along the east coast main line between london and edinburgh.

  this evening it crossed the royal border bridge in berwick-on-tweed for the first time since it was put out of service in january 1963.. here are few shots.. .

  Thanks a lot for mentioning that.

  Now I felt compelled to look up what "blinkers" are on steam engine, and what the difference is between German style and others, and invenstigated the biography of Richard Paul Wagner who designed the blinkers you like.

  so now i go into "rivet counter" mode.

  those smoke deflectors are actually " Witte" type--whereas "Wagner" type are somewhat larger.

  the international bible students association of charles taze russell and his associates were influenced by other cults of his time most of which believed they were living in the last days , the end times of bible prophecy .. some of which were , the many adventists sects , the christadelphians , mormons ,and the adventists playing a huge influence on russells writings,.

  was charles taze russell chosen by jehovah to lead a revival of the true religion on earth ?

  over a hundred years ago ?.

  i remember when my mum first dragged me to a meeting--i was about 11 years old. i can still remember a lot of the brothers seemed to be talking with an american accent. this was in the UK--about 56 years ago.

  does anyone else recall the big chart that hung at the front of every kingdom hall?.

  it would be about 5 feet x 4 feet.

  on the side of the chart, vertically listed, were the months of the year.
